5th Grade Awards and Banquet

Awards and Banquet

As Kaylee marched in, I realized how quick time has
gone by.  My sweet baby girl is now ready to move on
to the next chapter of her life of becoming a
Middle School Student.

The 5th grade class entertained us with some songs.
I sure was glad for the last song to be more upbeat, the
others were tear jerkers and I forgot my tissues.
Thanks to my mother-in-law, I was covered.

Kaylee received awards for
Outstanding Citizenship
Perfect Attendance
Participation in Keyboarding

We are so very proud of her accomplishments!

And of course Kaylee is going to find something
to get into.  And she found the floor fan,  Brianna seen Kaylee
having so much fun she decided to join.

But before long......

there were a few more friends to join
the fun of a floor fan.
That is my girl!!

Here are a few friends
Brianna Hual

Kayleigh Linam and Savanna Calhoun

Kaylee,
We are so proud of you.  You have become such
a beautiful young lady.  You have such a compassionate
heart, we hope that it continues throughout your life.  We
love that you love Jesus so much and want to do
everything to live for him.  Please always take time to listen
to what Jesus is saying to you.  And follow his direction in ALL
of your decisions. Kaylee we love you so much!

Love,
Momma and Daddy

5th Grade Field Trip

Mobile Explorium and Dauphin Island Sea Lab Bound

Kaylee is ready to go on the field trip.  She doesn't ride the
school bus, so she is a little excited about it.

Here we are in line to go see the Imax movie
about Dinosaurs at the Explorium.  Poor Jason had to go in with
the group (he hates anything to do with dinosaurs ~ he is afraid)
I could not go in, the Imax Theater makes me sick.

Jason and I propped on each other during our picnic lunch.
Kaylee was laughing at us, she did not want
anyone to see us doing that.  I love her so much!

Here are some of Kaylee's friends Brianna Hual
and April Payne.  They are waiting patiently
to enter the Sea Lab.

Oh My! Kaylee is manning the ship.

Here is some animals, corals, shells and other
sea items that we were able to touch and look at.Kaylee
was a little apprehensive, but I can not say to much,
I did not touch anything except the corals.

We all enjoyed our time away from school and the
kids still learned, though they probably would
not agree.

First Grade Field Trip

The First Graders got to go see Oceans at the
Rave Movie Theater.

Kenley and her friend Abeni are awaiting
instructions on what to do next.

What is a movie without Popcorn and Drink!

Here they are settling in before the movie starts.
They had such a good time.  Oceans was a good
educational type movie.   There were a lot
of sea animals that I was unaware of so even I
learned something new.

Happy Mothers Day!

Here are a few things that my kids gave me for Mother's Day.

The roses were brought home to me on Friday night, Kaylee
had called Mrs. Carolyn at Blossoms and asked her
could she make an arrangement for me and that
her Daddy would come by and pick them up.  She did this
without me even knowing.  Mrs. Carolyn did call Jason and
make sure this was okay and of course he said it was.

Now Sunday morning, Jason actually got out of bed early and
told me to sleep in and he went and started breakfast, soon the kids
were up and helped him finish cooking.  It was SO sweet!
I love my hubby and my precious children!

Thank you for a memorable Mother's Day!

Afternoon Treasure Hunt

 The Treasure Map!

The Treasure!

The girls are home from school.  The kids found
the treasure map hanging on our door.
"What is this?" Kenley shouted

The kids reading their map. And plotting on where each one \
would go and retrieve the clue cards.

Kaylee found the first clue card.

Karson found the second clue card.

Kenley found the third clue card.

At this point Kenley wanted to take over.
She found the fourth clue card.

Karson found the last clue card.
Now it was time to put the clues together.
Looking?????

They found their "Treasure".  They did enjoy searching
but I believe they enjoyed eating the
brownies more than anything.
Karson asked if we were going
to hunt for our snack every Wed.
Just a thought, I told him we might do something
special on Wed. for snacks.

I had a lot of fun with this.  I hid the clues while Karson was watching a movie on the computer.  I came from outside and he said "I did not even know that you were outside."  So it was a surprise to him as much as it was to the girls.

Kenley's Birthday Party with Family

Kenley wanted Strawberry Short Cake for her theme, she
also wanted me to make her cake.  So here is her birthday cake.

She loves her Fur Real animals.

Our Aunt Toni started a collection with each child when they were
born.  Kenley's is the Dreamcicles. Here is Number 7.

All Kenley asked for was a Zuh Zuh pet.  And she got 1 bunny,
1 hamster and baby.  She loved her pets.

Happy 7th Birthday my sweet Kenley!
I love you so much.
